Cancer Disease Resources

Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) works with partners across the state to coordinate a comprehensive approach to inform policy, systems and environmental change strategies to prevent and control cancer.

ADH cancer activities include:

ADH has partnerships throughout the state to accomplish the goals of the Arkansas Cancer Plan. This plan serves as an outline for what can and should be done at the state and local levels for cancer prevention, detection and care efforts in Arkansas. It identifies activities for coordinated action by government, the private and nonprofit sectors and Arkansas’s citizens and communities.

The Arkansas Cancer Coalition (ACC) has been a longtime partner in cancer prevention and control activities. ACC facilitates and provides partnerships to reduce the human suffering and economic burden from cancer for the citizens of Arkansas. ACC also coordinates several statewide cancer workgroups, including breast cancer, colorectal cancer and survivorship. Contact the coalition to learn more and get involved.
